Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone found in pregnant women during the first stages of pregnancy. This hormone is commonly used to treat cryptorchidism, infertility in women, low testosterone levels and to increase weight loss.
This compound is used in bodybuilding and among athletes either as a secondary product along with anabolic steroids to reduce testosterone suppression or in post-course therapy to improve recovery.
It is well known that anabolic steroid use causes natural testosterone levels to decrease. The percentage of natural hormone suppression is usually quite high. Once the cycle is complete, testosterone production will resume, but it can take a long time until it returns to normal levels. And that's why bodybuilders use hCG before post-course therapy - to speed up the recovery process, as many have found that starting post-course therapy with it will improve recovery rates compared to using tamoxifen or Clomed.
The second way to use it is to take it during the course along with anabolic steroids. By adding hCG during the course, the user can control testosterone levels and recovery is much easier at the end of the course. The problem with using this method is that there is a very high possibility of becoming dependent on hCG due to its luteinizing hormone requirements. This is why its use during the cycle should be under strict control, and if used properly, it will help the user achieve good results.
